The universal language of mankind is music and there’s no doubt about it – we love listening to music. But how about learning to sing or play an instrument? Studies suggest only about one out of three teens take music lessons. And for many kids of color, the percentage is far lower. But Ava tells us about Sphinx, an organization working to change that.

Launching its 20th year on the air, the Emmy award-winning, weekly half-hour program is seen across the country on more than 160 TV stations and seen around the world on the American Forces Network. In addition, educational TV channels bring TKN to districts with 10,000 schools and some 9-million students.
