His sincerity was real.Over the years, many of us worked with Ernie to create wonderful – and wonderfully creative - TV programs. A truly good person who went out of his way to help others, Ernie was always willing to lend his name and his talent to a worthy cause.When we produced the NY Easter Seal Telethon, Ernie was one of our hosts. Telethons are some of the most difficult TV programs to produce. They run non-stop for hours. And they can be grueling, especially for those who are on-camera for much of that time.Ernie was perfect.
