People have been using tobacco for more than 12 thousand years. But it wasn’t until the 1940s – just after World War Two, that scientists had proof that smoking was hazardous to our health. And it took until the mid-1980s for the medical world to make another discovery that prompted even more warnings about smoking.

Launching its 23rd year on the air, the Emmy award-winning, weekly half-hour program is seen across the country on more than 160 TV stations and seen around the world on the American Forces Network. In addition, educational TV channels bring TKN to districts with 10,000 schools and some 9-million students.
