Once again we’re happy to announce the finalists in a competition that truly helps to save lives. The Drive Safe Chicago contest, sponsored by the National Road Safety Foundation is open to teens in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Iowa. Ava introduces us to this year’s finalists and we go behind the scenes with them as they create their Public Service Announcements. Then we’ll find out who wins during the presentation of their PSA’s at the Chicago Auto Show!

This week’s Rising Star is Auti from Charleston, West Virginia. And as Katarina found out, she uses her music to raise awareness of very serious issues such as mental health and suicide prevention.

When it comes to studying, extra help can be VERY effective, so Christin shares some advice on the value of study groups in this week’s “Make the Grade”.

And as part of our 20th anniversary of Teen Kids News, we chat with Siena D’Addario, a former reporter and anchor who was on the show for an entire decade.

Team TKN

Launching its 20th year on the air, the Emmy award-winning, weekly half-hour program is seen across the country on more than 160 TV stations and seen around the world on the American Forces Network. In addition, educational TV channels bring TKN to districts with 10,000 schools and some 9-million students.
