When plastic was first invented it was considered a miracle material – cheap to produce and it could be fashioned into all sorts of shapes. And it was durable, unfortunately too durable. Now, our oceans are choking on all sorts of plastics. Alexandra talks with Christy Leavitt from Oceana to understand the magnitude of the problem and how teens can help.
