B Block: Our special three part story on driving safety is brought to you by the National Road Safety Foundation. They sponsor an annual contest called “Drive Safe” which invites kids in various locations to come up with an idea for a Public Service Announcement – that will actually be produced and air on Teen Kids News. So TKN went behind the scenes at three different locations across the country. We started in Los Angeles, where the winning idea for a driving safety message involved a dog!
C Block: Next stop for our Drive Safe behind the scenes coverage was Atlanta, GA, where the winner was a middle school student that got most of his 8th grade class involved to communicate his important message about distracted driving!
D Block: Part 3 of our Drive Safe contest coverage took us to Indiana, right outside of Chicago. Here the contest was handled a bit differently. There were three finalists and the public got to vote for the winner. Interestingly, the three finalists were not just from the same town, but from the same High School in Valparaiso, IN.
E Block: Few of us love taking tests. But some of us actually dread test taking so much, our stress causes us to do less well than we should. Helping to overcome that test anxiety is the subject of Emily’s “Yoga & You” report.
