3 whole apples, cored, halved and sliced, but not peeled
Mix of water and lemon juice
1/2 16 oz. pkg. frozen puff pastry
4 tbsp. (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
2 tbsp. white sugar
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Peel the apples and cut them in half through the stem. Remove the stems and cores with a sharp knife (Only use a knife if you have an adult permission!). Slice the apples crosswise in 1/4-inch-thick slices. Place the slices into a bowl of water and lemon juice.
Cut the puff pastry into rectangles. (You can use a pizza cutter)
Place the puffed pastry rectangles onto a baking pan that’s been sprayed with nonstick spray or lined with parchment paper.
Place overlapping slices of apples diagonally across the pastry and place one slice of apple on each side of the arranged slices
Brush the entire pastry with melted butter. Try to coat the entire pastry evenly so that it browns evenly once you cooked it.
Sprinkle the white sugar over the apple and the puff pastry.
Place it inside the oven about 350 degrees F for about 15 to 20 minutes or until they are golden brown.
Remove from the pan immediately and place on a serving platter. You can serve it with caramel sauce and chopped pecans.
