Food allergies occur in some people, when the body’s immune system, which normally fights infection, gets confused and begins attacking foods we eat. Heather Braverman is allergic to peanuts, tree nuts and shellfish. If she even comes in contact with these foods, Heather experiences severe symptoms called anaphylaxis.
