TKN Reporter - Ellie

Hey guys! My name's Ellie and I'm currently a sophomore in high school. I have been a part of the Teen Kids News family for a few years, and it's an incredibly energetic and motivating atmosphere. The producers and other reporters are so kind, it's so fun to film with such talented (and hilarious) people. I love reporting because I am able to inform people by way of telling stories and communicating. I also enjoy the journalism aspect, and spend my free time practicing reading and writing (especially blogging).

I started broadcast journalism when I was just ten years old by joining a broadcast training program. I became a member of Teen Kids News a few years ago at an open audition in New York City. I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to interview Olympians, CEOs, and Musicians/ Actors throughout my time broadcasting. Being a part of such a supportive, enthusiastic and hardworking team has really strengthened my skills and inspired me to push further in the industry.

Outside of broadcasting, I spend time playing sports and volunteering. I play on my high school's varsity lacrosse team, and I play golf recreationally with my family and friends. I love volunteering, and work really hard on aiding community service outreach programs. I am a member of my school's Alliance for Accepting and Understanding club, which helps spread awareness of hunger in third world countries, as well as raises money to donate to worthy international causes. I also run a regional non-profit organization, Golf Clubs for Kids, which donates unused clubs to inner city courses to provide city youth with opportunities to develop life-enhancing values, including health, confidence, perseverance, and judgement through golf. Lastly, I love spending time with my family and friends, because they support me and remind me how fortunate I am.

This show is made for you, the viewer, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Thank you for watching, we couldn't do it without you. Welcome to the Teen Kids News family!

Stay Lovely, Ellie
