Should we be worried about asteroids hitting the earth?

Round up Bruce Willis, Steve Buscemi, Ben Affleck and the rest of the gang from Armageddon. This rag-tag group of individuals has about one month to stop an asteroid from obliterating planet Earth. No, this is not a sequel to one of the best movies of our generation, but an actual possibility. NASA has had its eyes on an impending asteroid for quite some time. Tyler reports on the impact of Near Earth Objects (NEOs). We learn that NASA takes these NEOs, like comets and asteroids very seriously. While most NEOs that hit the atmosphere are small, some can be miles wide. These are the ones scientists are most curious about. NASA created a program in 1998 to watch the skies and predict where NEOs may hit, up to 100 years in to the future.
