The new Broadway play "The Last Ship" is based on superstar singer Sting's childhood.
"The Last Ship" is set in a seafaring town that operates around an English shipyard and follows Gideon Fletcher, a man who left home to see the world and returns years later to find the shipyard and the livelihoods of the workers in jeopardy. Gideon also encounters the woman he left behind all those years ago.
As Gideon and his former love wrestles with their feelings, the shipyard workers decide to take matters into their own hand and build one 'last ship.'
One can hear the voice of Sting throughout the play in the music he wrote for the show.
